The First "Business Promotion·New Negotiation Star" Simulated Business Negotiation Competition Has Successfully Concluded

On November 30th, the final and award ceremony of the first "Business Promotion·New Negotiation Star" simulated business negotiation competition was successfully held in Conference Rooms 9406 and 9407 of the Jing Shi Building on the Haidian Campus of Beijing Normal University. This competition is hosted by BNUBS, organized by the School Youth League Committee and Student Union, and is open to all undergraduate and graduate students. This competition is another important innovative content of the Management Culture Festival, with extraordinary significance. It focuses on improving students' comprehensive quality and business negotiation skills. Through practical exercise, it aims to promote the deep integration of theory and practice, broaden students' horizons, build communication platforms, and help cultivate top-notch innovative talents in the School, empowering students to grow in all aspects.

The judges for the finals of this competition include Professor Zhong Xin, Associate Dean of the Bay Area International Business School and Professor of Economics and Business Administration at Beijing Normal University; Professor Han Lili, Associate Secretary of BNUBS; Associate Professor Xu Zhixing, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management in Economics and Business Administration; Professor Chen Lei from the International Business and Management Research Center; Professor Zhao Chunyan, Associate Director of the Master's Program in International Business and Research Center for International Business and Management; Associate Professor Ding Xiufei from the International Business and Management Research Center; Professor Wang Jun from the Party Committee of BNUBS; Professor Chang Xinyang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of BNUBS. The competition adopted an innovative model that combines online and offline activities. After preliminary competition, competition training and other preparations, a total of 32 students from eight teams advanced to the finals.

At 13:30 on the day of the competition, the contestants arrived on time to sign in and entered the venue in an orderly manner under the guidance of the organizing committee. At 14:00, The competition officially kicked off, with eight participating teams divided into four groups. Four exciting simulated business negotiations were held simultaneously on the main and sub venues.

The atmosphere at the competition site was lively, and the players from each team demonstrated excellent communication skills, appropriate negotiation etiquette, flexible adaptability, and outstanding teamwork spirit. They showcased the professional demeanor and positive spirit of the students from Normal University. The contestants actively prepared around the topic, closely grasped the pulse of the negotiation, understood the other party's dynamics, accurately grasped the other party's position and needs, cleverly used various strategies and techniques, and strove for the most favorable negotiation results, pushing the game to climax time and time again. However, the potential weaknesses in knowledge depth and business insights revealed by the contestants during the competition have set the direction for their future development efforts.

At 16:20, the award ceremony of the competition kicked off in Conference Room 9406. Judges Chen Lei and Xu Zhixing from the main competition venue, as well as Ding Xiufei and Zhao Chunyan from the sub competition venues, provided precise analysis and comments on the performance of each group of contestants. They first affirmed the excellent communication skills and teamwork spirit demonstrated by each participant in the competition. During the intense negotiation process, the contestants were able to adapt to and actively respond to various unexpected situations, which not only demonstrated their solid professional competence but also demonstrated their comprehensive and in-depth qualities. At the same time, the judges also pointed out the shortcomings of each team's students, and some contestants still have room for improvement in their precise grasp of negotiation details, effective information utilization efficiency, and deep level interpretation of the needs of both parties.

The teachers sincerely encouraged all participants and hoped that they would take this competition as a new starting point, constantly reflecting, learning, and practicing. In the future, not only should we deepen our professional knowledge learning, but we should also focus on enhancing our emotional management skills and cultivating keen market insights, in order to be more adept in the future business negotiation stage. We hoped that students can continue to improve and perform better in future competitions, becoming true negotiation masters and industry elites.

After fierce competition and careful selection by the judges, the competition finally selected awards such as Best Negotiator, Best Style Award, Excellent Award, Third Prize, Second Prize, and First Prize. At the award ceremony, the award-winning contestants went on stage one by one to receive their awards and took a group photo with the award presenters.

The contestants who won the Best Negotiator are Gao Ziqi, Tianyuan, Lan Zixin, and Zhu Yongqi.

The contestants who won the Excellence Award are Wang Xiao, Li Xinmiao, Ma Jingjing, Gao Ziqi, Cheng Jie, Xie Junhao, Zhou Siyu, and Lin Feixuan.

The third prize winners are Nie Yifei, Chen Meiting, Lu Xinyi, Tong Meng, Lan Zixin, Zhang Derong, Zhou Ruiyang, Liang Duo, Yue Chufan, Li Yongxu, Xu Weijia, and Li Yuanhao.

The contestants who won the second prize are Zhang Qiuchi, Yan Yitong, Zhu Yongqi, Long Jiaxin, Wang Ziyi, Lou Siwei, Shi Jie, and Hu Xiyan.

The first prize winners are Tianyuan, Kang Xinwen, Zhang Ruonan, and Jiang Jiaxuan.

The atmosphere of the entire award ceremony was warm, solemn, and cozy, bringing the competition to a successful conclusion.

The successful hosting of this competition has played a positive role in promoting talent cultivation. On the one hand, it has provided students with rare practical opportunities and built a valuable communication platform, allowing them to exercise their negotiation skills, improve their comprehensive quality, and enhance their ability to connect theory and practice through practical simulations of business negotiations. It has laid a good foundation for future development in various fields such as business and helped the School cultivate top-notch innovative talents. In addition, this competition is also a good opportunity to promote education through competition, and can play a positive role in discipline construction and social influence.

Participating student Zhu Yongqi expressed his gratitude to the School for carefully planning and organizing this competition. Not only did it allow students to learn business negotiation skills and strategies, but more importantly, it provided a practical platform for him to test his knowledge mastery and on-site adaptability in a simulated investment negotiation environment, and discover his own shortcomings and problems. He hoped the School would continue to organize more similar practical activities in the future, which will greatly help hi,m enhance his ability to adapt to modern business negotiations and workplace environments, and lay a solid foundation for entering society.

Li Yuanhao expressed that this simulated business negotiation competition is not just a competition, but also a rare opportunity for growth. It has enabled him to deeply understand the connotation of practical application in practice, closely combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, and improving his comprehensive quality and ability level. At the same time, by communicating and exchanging ideas with athletes from different grades and majors, he has broadened his horizons and made many like-minded friends. Their talent and enthusiasm have greatly inspired him, and have also shown his shortcomings, clarifying the direction of his future efforts.
